These answers are here to help players, parents and supporters understand how the team works, what to expect, and where to find the most useful information.

Who can join Vale Vultures?
Vale Vultures currently runs a single Under 11s rugby league team. Under 11s is school year 6, but school year 5 can play up by one age group. Families who want to ask about eligibility, squad spaces, or whether the team is the right fit should contact the coaching team.
Does my child need previous rugby experience?
No. Previous rugby experience is helpful, but not essential. What matters most is a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the desire to work hard and improve as part of the team.
When and where do you train?
Training takes place on Fridays from 17:30 to 18:30 at Police Fields, Cowbridge. See the Training page for more details.
What happens on match days?
The website shows upcoming opposition and whether the match is home or away. Current families receive detailed matchday information, including pitch details and kick-off times, through Spond.
How do I get in touch?
You can get in touch using the contact forms on the website, which helps direct enquiries to the right place. Parents and guardians of members can also use the team WhatsApp group for general communication.
What kit is needed?
Players should bring a gumshield, a clearly labelled water bottle, and suitable rugby training kit for the weather. Shoulder pads may also be worn. At the start of the season, players are provided with Vale Vultures socks, shorts and a jersey for matches.
How do you communicate with players and parents?
We use Spond to schedule training and matches, and to manage player availability and attendance. We also have a WhatsApp group for parents and guardians, which is used for general team communication.
Are photos used on the website?
Photos are only used on the website where the appropriate permission has been confirmed directly with the club. Vale Vultures does not name children individually alongside website photos, and team photos will not be shared on social media. Read the Photography & Image Use page for more detail.
